Everyone has told me that living here in the Bay Area is totally different than life back home in Texas. I’ve been here a little over a month now and have experienced more social events and have met more interesting people than my 2 years in Dallas. So, I have decided to make a blog of my weekly experiences.

It was another busy week for me. Besides the 35 hour work week that Im not used to, it seems like there are soo many other things i need to attend to after work everyday. Earlier in the week, I had to go to Best Best and help my cousin pick a tv. Trish is already an indecisive girl (hi Trish!), can you imagine her picking a tv! Two hours later, we decided on the 46″ Sony Bravo LCD for 1599. Being the nice cousin, I put the tv on my Best Buy Card, so she’ll 2yrs of no interest and I get Reward points! Tuesday was my first day on call, and of course I get called in for an all night heart-lung block transplant. Fortunately, the case went well and I had Wednesday to sleep and recover. But having a day off during the week is always bad on my wallet. I started thinking about the upcoming Fashion Show and how great it would be to have a digital slr camera. It wasn’t a new thought…I’ve always wanted one, especially living out here. By the end of the day, I was scanning my Reward Zone card again at Best Buy and walking out with a new Canon Xsi. The Fashion Show was on Tuesday and it was more fun than I expected. I think the best part was playing with my new toy! The pictures came out exceptionally well and I have no regrets about my frivolous spending.

The weekend was relaxing and exciting because I finally got Mr. Bentley! Bentley is my 100 lb, 5 yr old weimaraner.  We went to a couple of neighborhood bars and went to the Niners game today.  I thought Texan and Cowboys fans were crazy, these niners fans dont play.  Cussing and yelling at vendors or people standing in line was just a taste of the first five minutes I was there.  We had the best seats in the house (right in front of the cheerleaders).  Spent all the money we had on beers and junk food, and of course took numerous photos of a team I know nothing about.  It was a nice day for a game and got to see a dude run across the field before getting tackled by security.
